Mission of The Tyler Dunn Foundation:
To show our young people that despite challenges that will most definitely come along in life, they can be met with enthusiasm. That great satisfaction and joy can be experienced when solutions to these challenges are found. Young people deserve to be shown by action and example that life is an exciting thing and a blessing to be enjoyed everyday. Our young people are better than us and deserve better than what we as adults have experienced. We will not only tell our young people this, but show them by teaching them the skills needed to recognize opportunity, and then grab those opportunities to make things happen. It is our belief that this can be done with talents, resources, and skills that all of us already posses. Everyone involved with the Tyler Dunn Foundation will use this as a starting point to mentor: first by example, then by instruction so that young people may see and decide for themselves that they can be excited about their present and future life they will live.
The main activities of the Tyler Dunn Foundation will be:
1. Showing young people where to go for financial aid for college or technical training, and providing the necessary professional advisors to teach them the “how to”.
2. Providing professional technical training and workshops to interested students in High School. Although higher education is important, we cannot allow our young people to drag through high school waiting for some future point to “start their lives.” They should be excited for opportunities they can grasp right now.
3. Placing successful professionals in front of young people so they can see for themselves that they are qualified and capable of taking their rightful place in this world and living an exciting, blessed life.
